Stephen Graham Filming Boiling Point at Space Studios Manchester.

Nationwide Film & TV Location Cateres Chorley Bunce are pleased to see that filming has begun on the series sequel to Boiling Point.

BBC greenlit a series sequel to Boiling Point in October last year, which is set six months after the events of the film. The BBC announced that filming on the TV show began today (January 30) in Manchester.

“It’s incredibly exciting to announce that filming is now underway,” Rebecca Ferguson, Executive Producer and Commissioning Editor for BBC Drama, said.

“The creative team on Boiling Point have brought together the finest cast, featuring established talent and introducing some breathtakingly good new cast members who will no doubt become household names.”

The TV show will follow Sous Chef Carly as Head Chef at her own restaurant, with many of Andy’s original team alongside her. As the pressure mounts to keep the restaurant packed out, Carly starts to feel the heightened responsibility that comes with running her own place.

The film’s co-writer and director Philip Barantini will direct three episodes of the show, whilst the film’s producers, Hester Ruoff and Bart Ruspoli, will all serve as executive producers on the series alongside Hannah Walters and Stephen Graham.
